Breathe
What is Breath Integration?
Breath Integration coaching explores and regulates the effect emotions have on health and happiness. Breathing well will direct and focus your energies towards your emotional or internal reality. Full deep natural breathing leads one out of the head and into the body where we are in touch with our feelings and have a direct and easy link to our sub-conscious.
Learning to breath well is a skill that can be practised by any person at any time for pain relief, relaxation, empowerment or insight. The breath is a cleansing and transformative tool that allows us access to our Inner Self. In Breath Therapy we can explore our relationship with money, our body and our relationships and re-current issues can easily and gently be resolved.
What happens in a session?
In a session one learns to breathe through any blocks and open the flow of life force in the body. The process of guided breathing releases grief, anxiety, stress and pain, as well as strengthening the immune and circulatory systems.
Benefits of Breathwork
When we align ourselves with the 'being' we want to be and breath through the emotions that inhibit or restrict us, there is a tremendous joy and energy that moves through us freeing us to live with clarity, direction and purpose.
Learning to breathe in a free and open way is a great way to increase confidence, wellness and our capacity for intimacy. Whilst breathing it is common to experience an opening of the heart and mind, love for the self and an increase in wellbeing and awareness.
Breathing provides a great medium to powerfully and gently explore our blockages, emotions and the way we view our world. From this space we have the wisdom and the clarity to choose how we would like our lives to be, and we have the self-love to live from a place of integrity. We gain the opportunity to live with insight, power, wisdom and clarity - with the tools to influence change in our lives.

Breath Awareness (an Exercise)
Here are some simple breathing exercises you can use to help in your practice of natural deep breathing:
Practicing Breath Awareness:
- Notice your breathing.
- Are you breathing through your nose or through your mouth?
- Are you a chest breather or a belly breather? I.e. does your chest expand or your belly when you breathe?
- Do you take little short breaths or deep long breaths?
- Do you hold your breath often?
- Do you sigh or yawn often?
- Do you clench your jaw?
- Count the number of breaths in one minute.
A Simple Breathing Exercise to learn to breathe naturally and deeply:
- First make yourself comfortable sitting or laying down. Also wear comfortable clothing that does not constrict your breathing.
- Now place a hand on your chest and the other hand on your abdomen.
- Breathe in and out through your nose (be greedy for air) while paying attention to how your hands move. The hand on your chest should hardly move, while the hand on your belly should move visibly up and down.
A Natural Breathing Exercise:
- Correct natural breathing starts with your exhalation. Make an effort to breathe out as much as you can. Let your next breath (your inhalation) arise by itself, when it is ready; let the in-breath be as full as possible. When the lungs are full exhale slowly.
- Relax your shoulders, your belly and your jaw.
- Take a deep full breath as often as you remember.
- Practice full deep belly breathing before you go to sleep; it works miracles.
- Make your breath your best friend. You can count on him/her for the rest of your life.
